| The Fort Mitchell city government consists of the Mayor, who is elected every four years, eight members of the City Council who are elected every two years, the City Administrator who is appointed by the Mayor and the City Treasurer who is appointed by the City Council. The City Administrator is in charge of day-to-day activities. The City Council has final approval over all new appointments, promotions and employment. City Council meets regularly on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. excluding holidays. Public notice is given of Public Hearings, Special Meetings, Committee Meetings and/or cancellations. Regular meetings of Council air on Insight Cable's Government Channel. "Live Streaming" of local government meetings and "Video on Demand" are also available for a limited time through the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky, simply visit http://www.tbnk.org/, scroll down on the left side under "Now Streaming" to select "On Demand Video - The Government Channel", in the new window choose the month you are interested in and choose the meeting from the list.
